Retro Vibes

Hey y'all!  Miss me?  I sure have missed blogging.  Had to take a minute and recharge my batteries.  I've been relaxing with my family, enjoying the last few weeks of summer vacation.  School will be back in session in just two weeks.  My kiddos are excited to begin a new year and look forward to learning and making new friends.  So we've been soaking up the sun, lounging by the pool, eating ice cream and popsicles, taking walks in the park....all the fun your heart desires during a long lazy summer.

I wore this look a couple of weeks ago when I was just out and about running errands.  I wanted to look cute, but I'm all about being comfortable as well, especially when the sun is beaming high and melting all my makeup off my face...ugh!  So, I opted to don my favorite white jeggings and style my outfit from there.  I've worn these soooo many times on the blog before.  In fact, I featured a whole series on how to wear white pants three ways.  You can check those posts out here, here, and here.  And a real throwback to last year here.  Wearing white in summer is a given considering its heat reflective properties and therefore keeping me cool, easy and breezy.

Next I added my cotton, denim, button down that I scored from my go to place for frugal finds, Gabe's.  I love denim and white combined.  Such a fresh look and easy as pie.  For accessories I opted to add a fun scarf by adorning my hair, faux pearl necklace and cute yellow, canvas wedges from Payless.  My go to bag this summer has been my white faux leather handbag that I carry my whole entire life in...lol.  Anybody else carry their life around with them besides myself?  I loved how this outfit came together giving it a little retro feel with the denim, head scarf and cute wedges.  What do you guys think?  Leave me a comment below.  Thanks for reading!
