White Pants 3 Ways: Look 1

For this week's theme, I will be showcasing three ways to wear white pants.  Ahhh, I know, for some of us curvy girls, wearing white can be intimidating.  As for myself, I consider wearing white to be a great feat as not only am I plus sized, but I have little ones and it can be a challenge to keep white, well, white...add to that I'm a bit of a klutz too...lol.  I decided to face the fear of my thunder thighs baring all my cellulite and just take the plunge.

I've had these jeggings for some time now, and I'm always hesitant when I look at them hanging there in my closet.  So I tried to figure out why I seem to skip past them every time I search for something to wear and they just hang out getting no play time at all.  I came to the conclusion that it is probably because they're a skinny fit on my frame.  I feel my bottom half would look much better in a heavier denim and looser fit due to my curvy and round romp-a-domp...yeah I totally made that word up...lol.

However, I have made myself a promise to back off shopping for a while as my closet is full to the max with items.  I still have tags on a few things and some things I've only worn once.  My goal is to remix and re-wear only items I absolutely love.  Until, I can get my closet to this goal, I plan to wear what's in it and make it work.

Everyone knows that wearing white highlights every lump and bump you may have.  So, for my first look with these jeggings I decided to take baby steps by wearing this cute kimono scarf over my derriere.  I felt it gave me a little coverage over that area and made me feel a little more confident when wearing it these pants.
For accessories, I popped on a black, chunky, wooden stretch bracelet, silver plated bangles and silver chain link necklace.  These stone-colored, peep-toe, ankle booties have been hanging out in my closet as well and I felt they deserved some play time.  They were the perfect shoe for the slate color in my kimono.  A simple black clutch was the finishing touch.  Oh yeah!! And I almost forgot, I got new specs from the eye doc on last week.  I am in luuurve with them...lol.

Outfit details:
Kimono scarf ~ $3 Gabe's (old)
Black tank ~ Walmart $3 (old)
White jeggings ~ Old
Peep-toe booties ~ Cato Fashions (old)

What do you guys think?  Did I get this outfit right or nah?  How do you wear your white pants?  Stay tuned for two more looks to be showcased on the blog this week.  Thanks for reading and for my loyal readers I love you all for free99!

Peace and love,

  10. I think it's a great look and you look great! Love the color combination. And despite it being jeggings, which have a bit of a bad rep, the outfit looks good for an evening out. Personally I only have one pair of white pants (with floral print) and I rarely wear them, precisely because of my son ;-)

    1. Thank you Alex! You're right jeggings do have a bad rep, especially on plus size ladies such as myself. I'm glad I could make it work and feel comfortable at the same time. Thanks for stopping by :)
