I have truly been enjoying shopping my closet. I don't know about many of you, but this girl here is NOT coined, rich, wealthy...etc. So, I had to back off my spending for a while. I've learned some valuable lessons in doing so. One being that I really don't have to own the latest fashions or squeal with joy each time I'm emailed a sales promotion that is to die for. I have four children, two still in elementary and one in middle school, and their college funds are worth way more to me than my shopping obsession. Although I love fashion, I have faced the fact that sometimes it's simply best to love what you own and wear it until it's done, faded, threads coming apart.... lol, get my drift?
With that being said, my new goal for myself and this blog is to be challenged by finding multiple ways to wear the things I already own. I'm not a celebrity who can afford to wear a new outfit everyday without repeating it at least some of the time. And to tell the truth, I don't think I would do that even if I were coined like Oprah. I find solace in knowing that I purchased something that I love and heck, I wanna wear it more than once, or twice, or three times for that matter.

So what do you think? Loving my style remix? Do you love finding new ways to wear your favorite things?
I will be featuring many remixed items I own in the future on this blog. I hope you will stick around and offer me insight and feedback. Thank you to all my loyal readers. I love you all! Until next time....

Like that idea of wearing an item more than once! You look lovely and the color combination is one of my favorites! Thanks for linking-up with Turning Heads Tuesday. Apologize for the bad quality picture. There was a misunderstanding and the photos got mixed up. Sabina | Oceanblue Style
ReplyDeleteThank you so much! Enjoyed linking up with you :)
DeleteOh wow, I could have sworn it was a skirt in the link you provided showing how it was styled before, but it looks so cute as a dress as well. What a fun remix and who doesn't love free clothing right? I am loving your challenge.
ReplyDeleteThanks for linking up to "Bloggers WHo Have Inspired Me" this past Tuesday.

DeleteI love how you reinvented this skirt! I totally thought it was a dress! That fringe clutch is really on trend now too.

DeleteWe are almost like twins with this look! This is exactly what I was picturing if I styled my white skirt without something on top. Personally, I prefer bloggers who wear the same pieces multiple times - it is more realistic and creative. :)
ReplyDeleteThanks Jennie! I can't get enough of wearing my favorite items in new ways :)
