Hey y'all! It's a new week for new beginnings! I am overly excited to officially welcome the new spring season this coming Friday, March 20, 2015. After the cold and brutal winter some of us have experienced, I know you guys can relate and share in my excitement. I was shopping my closet and found this striped sweater I purchased a few weeks ago and thought it would go perfect with these green colored pants. I purchased these about a month ago and they have been hanging out in my closet begging to be worn.
I've been thinking that I should scale back on my shopping habit guys! While I absolutely love fashion and developing my own sense of style, I seriously should have worn these items by now...well at least the striped sweater. It's 4 days until spring for crying out loud, and sadly I won't get much wear out of this sweater.
On second thought, with the unpredictable weather patterns we're experiencing in the south, this sweater may just linger around in my closet a bit longer. It can be transitioned to spring by wearing a cute button down under it. I could easily peel off layers as the day goes from cool to warm. Just packed away my winter pea coat last week, so I won't be needing that as we've already tasted hints of this God awful southern humidity...ugh! I am however, on the hunt for a nice weather-proof, water-proof parka or trench of some sort.
I also decided to dip my pinky toe in with a little print mixing while wearing this outfit. I am not that great at mixing prints yet so I decided to test the waters with an oversized clutch in my favorite print...LEOPARD...haha! I think it turned out great. Not too much, just a subtle hint of print. What say you? Did I get it right or nah?
These booties I've worn before in these posts here, here, here and here. Sooo, I've worn them a lot actually. But isn't that what we are supposed to do with the items we love? Actually wear them? Saving that topic for a future post.
The last two photos I snapped because I wasn't sure if the leopard printed clutch would pair well with this outfit. I did end up carrying this crossbody just so I could have my hands free on this day. Less items for me to keep up with while chasing after three little ones.
Well, I truly hope you guys have an awesome week! Engage with me. Drop me a comment, tap the Google+ button, share on your Pinterest, Facebook and Twitter. I love interacting with you guys. If you aren't following me on Instagram yet, you should @ms_kishina I'm very active on IG and lots of my outfits are posted there before they make it to the blog. Until next time.....

Thanks so much!
DeleteI love those pants! They look great with the sweater and the whole outfit just looks like spring. The clutch made a really great contrast to the rest of the outfit but I can totally see it being just one more thing when you have your hands full.

DeleteI love your print mixing Kishina, you look fabulous in the sweater, and green pants combo. I live in the south too and boy how this weather sure can be something, it was chilly today but breezy and nice the rest of the days of this week. Thank you for linking up to "Bloggers Who Have Inspired Me" yesterday.

Haha, Rachel! I guess I got it right...this print mixing thingy. I used to be such a plain jane growing up. I love documenting how my style evolves as I get older. Thanks for the linky party :)
DeleteYou look beautiful in this outfit. The pants are very flattering and I really like them paired with the black sweater. You guys got all the bad weather this winter. Out here in Utah we had a VERY mild winter. We only had snow around Christmas and never had our deep temperature drop that we usually get in January. Our ski resorts are hurting, but the rest of us have loved having a mild winter for a change. I'm wishing warm (not humid) weather your way!
ReplyDeleteJillio, thank you so much! You are very lucky to have experienced a mild winter. It seems we were in a polar vortex here in South Carolina...lol. I'm simply not used to mother nature assaulting me that way :)
DeleteThose green pants are so fun! You styled them perfectly with the stripes and touch of leopard!
