On Sundays I Wear Skirts | Tangerine and Leopard

If you've followed my blog for a while now, you'll know that my favorite print is leopard.  It pairs well with practically EVERYTHING to me.  The perfect blend of all neutrals is aesthically pleasing to the eye and you can basically add a plethora of colors to make it work.  I particularly love pairing leopard prints with a bright bold color such as this tangerine pencil skirt I scored for the low at Gabe's.  Can you believe it was only five bucks?  *Gasp*... There was no way I was leaving it hanging all by its lonesome on the rack.  And it's one of my favorite labels to wear, Lane Bryant.  Now, this skirt retails at around 50-60 bucks, and you know the thrifty part of me will NOT pay retail for anything...lol.  This skirt is old and no longer available, at least I couldn't find it on the web site or in store.  Hence, the reason I will be shopping my closet more because there is no way this should still have tags on it...*insert blank stare*.  Anywho...

Hi-Low Hem Leopard Print Top ~ Cato Fashions $9.99

Boots ~ Avenue (Black Friday Sale) $35.00

Loving the Hi-Low hem of this blouse.  Flatters my bum with no effort whatsoever.  So, yeeees for this silhouette!  Scored these boots, that are now packed away far into the back of my closet, during Avenue's Black Friday Sale.  I love the rich cognac color and they seemed to blend well with the color scheme I was aiming for.

The top is made of a light, airy fabric and drapes my curves effortlessly. I always seem to gravitate to anything that gives attention to detail. It's the little things that catch my eye. For instance, I love how this blouse was bedazzled with metallic gold colored studs. They give the eye something to focus on and add depth and character to the garment. And you know me, I have GOT to have that little extra oomph in my outfit...lol

  Skirt ~ Lane Bryant (via Gabe's) $5

Totally in love with the pencil skirt on my frame.  In fact it's a skirt that blogger Kim (Naturally Fashionable) and I agree looks goods on all body shapes.  Whether curvy or straight, this silouhette and cut is naturally flattering.  If you didn't catch the first skirt I featured of this series you can peep it here.  I titled this series On Sundays I wear skirts because I rarely get to wear them.  So church is the perfect occasion to play up the girly, feminine side of me.

Metallic Gold Crossbody Clutch ~ Family Dollar $5 (Yes, I shop here too)

As the days get longer and warmer, I plan to wear more skirts.  I absolutely love being a woman and I feel my femininity shines best when I wear skirts and dresses.  I encourage you ladies to embrace your feminine side.  Put on a skirt this weekend, whether Saturday or Sunday and wear it just because.  No special reason, simply because you love YOU!  I will be featuring another look soon so stay tuned.  Would you like to see more outfits of dresses, skirts, casual wear...?  Drop a line below, I would love to hear thoughts and opinions of my reader audience.  Until next time....

Peace and love,
Kishina...xoxox

  5. I really like this combo. I have the hardest time with animal prints because I tend to want to pair them with browns, greens and blacks. I prefer brighter colors like your beautiful skirt! I bet my leopard blouse would look awesome with a bright blue skirt I have. Never thought of it before I got my inspiration from you! Thanks and have a great day!

  10. Kishina, the leopard print top is effortlessly chic! I love it. I'm addicted to leopard print, too, and just posted my OOTN with a leopard print dress recently. :) It's nice to see options with the colorful skirts. I always buy them and then never wear them because I can't seem to style them right. Thank you for the inspiration to just run with it. You look FABULOUS! <3
