Facing My Fears

curvy blogger, protective style, MAC cosmetics, charmed choker, red lip

I'm so proud of myself for FINALLY having the courage to publish this blog post.  I've literally been sitting on these outfit photos for a couple of months now.  My original intent was to showcase this outfit when I actually took the photos.  However, life happened and as you've noticed I haven't blogged consistently lately.

Jumpsuits have been all the rage recently and I had yet to find one that suits my body type.  Until....I came across this one.  My pear shape and round booty make me feel uncomfortable in certain silhouettes.  I don't like to draw too much attention to my round bottom half, if possible, when choosing what to wear.

The last time I wore a jumpsuit, it felt like I was hiding a bit.  Have you ever worn something and tried to show confidence, but felt you didn't really pull it off?  Yep, that would be me in that blog.  In fact, I felt more confident wearing it in this post.

Fast forward to this post and I think I've conquered my fear of wearing a jumpsuit.  This fabric is medium weight and very forgiving of my belly rolls...lol.  I've figured out that I love the print as opposed to the solid color of the yellow one I've featured here on the blog.

Even got a little sassy and threw on some mirrored aviators, silver cuff, and charmed choker...lol.

I found this jumpsuit on sale, of course, at the beginning of the summer.  It was under 20 bucks.  I picked it up off the rack, thinking it was a maxi dress.  Then I gave it the side-eye when the legs swung apart to reveal it was indeed a jumpsuit.  I guess my fear of wearing one is the fact that I'm not totally in love with my belly y'all.  I'm just gonna keep it all the way real with you.

While I love myself overall, there are some physical parts of me that I'm having a hard time embracing.  My visible belly outline (VBO) is one of them.  So I sighed, told myself "just try it", went to the dressing room and slipped it on.  I am in love with this print y'all!

Thank you for reading.  I really appreciate your feedback.  I'd like to challenge you to be fearless, step out of your comfort zone and wear something that scares you!  I did...and I'm so glad that I tried it.  Until next time, loves.....

Be bold, Be beautiful and Be YOU!
