Bohemian Vibes: Look 1

Hey y'all!  I'm back with another dose of fashion inspiration.  I wanted to do something a little different this week and showcase 2-3 looks that were created with Bohemian inspired vibes in mind.  I shared with you guys last week that as summer approaches and humidity ensues, I tend to favor more relaxed wardrobe items.

Sweater Remix

Hey y'all! I hope you're having an awesome week so far. Mine is going pretty good. No complaints here.  Just living and enjoying life.  Thankful to have a new day of grace and mercy.  God has been good to me.  Yes, I'm a believer and follower of Christ.  And it's amazing how he shows himself strong to me everyday in the midst of my weaknesses.  I'm not perfect, only human.  And I don't get it right every single day of my life, but I strive to be better each day.  To show love and kindness is my aim each and every day I'm given, even to those with ill intent toward me.  I realize that some who follow me may not have the same beliefs as I, and I'm okay with that.  God gives us free will to choose whom we serve and I choose him.

Plum Sweater and Khaki Slacks

As we approach the end of what seemed to be an awful long winter season, I'm looking forward to taking more outfit photos outside in natural lighting.  It truly is the best lighting for taking awesome photos of rich color laden garments.  I'm still learning what angles look best for the camera, though.  I've taken sooo many photos that aren't really that flattering to me in some pictures.  However, I must admit I'm getting better at it.  As the saying goes, practice makes perfect.  In fact, I've learned some tips from blogger Kim at Naturally Fashionable and intend to use them for future photo sessions.

More aspiring blogger goals on the radar are to get a new camera and tripod with remote.  While I love fashion blogging, I've come to realize not everyone does including some family and friends.  And it's like pulling teeth trying to drag my hubby or son to snap photo pics of me.  They run the other way when they see me coming with camera in hand and a smile on my face...lol.  But I won't let that stop me from documenting my style, my journey, my love...  So tripod and remote it is.  I have no idea what path fashion blogging may lead me to.  However, I do intend to use it as an opportunity to grow, emerge and evolve my style all while sharing it in my little corner of the blogosphere in hopes to inspire others.

What are your goals as we approach a new season?  Engage with me.  I love interacting with my reader audience :)

Scarf Remix

Hey y'all! Yes I am from the southern part of the United States...lol. This post features one of my favorites from my scarf collection. I have worn it several times since I've purchased it. You may remember it from this post here. Although I wore the same color scheme, I opted to display my scarf in a slightly different way. I can't seem to get enough of jewel tones this season. I have several pieces in heavy rotation. I hope to showcase those looks soon.

Anywho, scarves are a great way to add depth and character to an otherwise basic outfit in my opinion. It's a versatile accessory you can use to build or remix any outfit that is otherwise boring...sort of a game changer/conversation piece so to speak. I received so many compliments on my look this past weekend.

This particular day I thought I'd try adding a belt to cinch my waist and shape my figure. I love the richness and detail of the scarf. The colors blend well with the cognac color of my boots. About these boots....I am extremely excited to finally find an affordable pair to fit my 19 inch calves!! Oh my gosh, the struggle for plus size fashionistas with extra fluff to their lower half is unreal.

I got these from one of my favorite stores called Avenue. Ordered them online during black Friday. They are still having an amazing sale! Ladies, if you have large calves and you're looking for a decent boot that won't break the bank, be sure to check out Avenue. I'm sure you won't be disappointed.

I found this cute cognac colored bag at the Goodwill this past weekend. I thought about carrying this bag below instead of my old faithful fringe bag. And... The fringe bag won... lol. So, quick question for my readers, which hand bag do you like with this outfit? Drop a comment below and let me know what ya think. As always, thanks for reading my blog. November Style Recap | Fringe Trend

Soooo, I know you guys may have been wondering, why the heck is she posing with that same bag in all of her posts??!  Lol, well obviously I happen to loooove this bag.  Fringe is one of my favorite things to wear.  Whether I'm actually wearing or accessorizing it I am HERE for all things fringe.  I also wanted to show case three diffferent looks with my fringe bag.  Check them out below and let me know what you think of these three looks.

Blog Post HERE

This weekend casual look came together just as I had imagined it would.  I love how the tribal print on my scarf blends with the studded detailing on the faux leather fringe.

This dressier look was given a little more oomph when I added the fringe look to it.  I felt it was very business oriented but I stayed true to my personal style and love of fringe.

Lastly, the fringe bag added character and made a statement to a somewhat basic outfit.  With this look it screams look at me...lol!!

Which one of these styles would you rock?  Is fringe for you, or nah?  Engage with me :)

Cowboy Boots and Denim

Golden mustard colors are beautiful for fall.  Yes, I know it is winter and I'm super late in posting this look.  I have worn this dress several times and decided to style it with some cute cowboy boots and a scarf.  The Jessica Simpson bag was a loaner from my sister.  I don't think she's gonna get it back, though...lol.  The belt I added accentuates my waist.  To keep warm on this brisk fall day I opted to add a dark wash denim jacket.  What do you think of this outfit?  Do you love cowboy boots and denim?
