How to Style a Beret
Today's post is all about the beret! I was having a bad hair day this particular day and so I opted to "fix" it by adding this beret to my outfit. Of course, it is in my favorite color PINK!! I wanted the focus to be on the wool hat so I kept the base of my outfit all neutral. Black and white will always reign as classic and chic in my book.
I scored this classic button up in black from Gabe's. It's a Lane Bryant blouse that retailed for around $55. *Gasps* Of course, my price was only $5. Gabe's is known for selling items at unbelievably huge discounts. I am in heaven everytime I walk in this store!! Some items are slightly irregular, but in my opinion, they're hardly noticeable. Maybe a seam not sewn as tight or the cut of the size may be slightly off.
My skirt is suuuuper old. Old Navy had a sale and I purchased it for around $12, I think. I also purchased these booties from Gabe's that retail for around $90. My price...$20. Yeees!! Total cost of my outfit $37! If that ain't winning, I don't know what is...lol. I'm all for looking chic and well put together for pennies on the dollar. I prefer to spend my coins on things that are more meaningful to me such as a vacation...that I'm currently in need of...on an island somewhere with cocktail in hand and a good book...*le sigh*. Wishful thinking.,,,anywho, hope you enjoyed this post. If it has inspired you in any way, please feel free to leave a comment, +1, share on Facebook or Twitter. As always until next time...
Peace and love,

Cobalt and White
Today I'm showcasing my personal style. My love for all things girly is the reason I was so drawn to this crisp white button up. The ruffle detail and flirty peplum hem I could not resist. I decided to pair it with a pair of cobalt blue ankle pants from Lane Bryant. This day was so dreary and cloudy; I wanted to infuse it with color. Cobalt is such an electrifying color and I am HERE for it this season...lol.
These ankle pants were purchased for a steal at just $5! I've worn them several times since purchasing this past summer. This ruffle detailed blouse is from Ashley Stewart and I can't wait to restyle it again. Possibly with a blazer, velvet maybe. Denim skinnies and riding boots...yeeesss! I see so many possibilities with these.

Houndstooth
Although leopard print is my all time favorite print, ever... I think my second favorite may be houndstooth. This is such a classic look and it transcends several fashion eras. Houndstooth checks originated in woven wool cloth in Scotland, but are now used in many other materials. I decided to wear this dress to church a few Sundays ago and really loved the way it fit and flattered my curves, as well as the print. I see many ways I can style this dress. For instance, adding a brightly colored crop top to this can create a whole new look for me by giving the illusion of seperate pieces. Thank you for checking out my blog!

Bohemian Flow
Well, I was finally able to wear something light and flowy on this day and I just fell in love with this! A simple outfit that is comfy yet still feminine is what I live for. Don't get me wrong, as a female I love to dress up. But, being comfortable and looking fabulous while doing it is my aim. Yeeeess!
Of course as usual, I love a great deal. So when I find this tunic at one of my favorite bargain spots I couldn't help but try it on. The top was only $12 and the white jeggings I found at Wal-Mart for about the same.
I opted to wear my new headband that has sadly been retired as it broke recently. I kept my other accessories at a minimum with simple gold bangles and donut shapes earrings.
Would you believe I was told this ensemble makes me look like a "big pumpkin"? Haaaaa! I laughed in their face and simply replied, "Good thing I don't get dressed to impress you, and I think it makes me look like I'm ready for a fun relaxing day". Yeah that shut them up real quick.
So glad my confidence level has improved ten times over. I will never let anyone dictate to me what I can and can not wear. While I realize everyone won't approve of my choice of dress it's okay. As long as I like it is all that matters.

Lacy Mint
I feel that nothing appeals more to my feminine side than things made of lace, chiffon, ruffles...get my drift. At times my style can be a little edgy, but for the most part I absolutely looooove being a lady. Naturally when I saw this baby hidden on a sales rack, I knew she was waiting on me to find her. My heart literally skipped a beat as I snatched her quickly from the rack and headed to the fitting room. I must have spent a good 10 minutes prancing around the fitting room with the widest grin on my face. No really, the sales associate had to ask me if I was alright because I was in there so long...haha!
If you've read any of my previous posts, you would know that I take pride in finding a killer deal. This lacy number was no exception. The total cost of this outfit was less than forty bucks including my sandals. Baby, it doesn't get any sweeter than that for me.
What I love most about this top, is the fact that it flows away from my body. It is not form fitting and is very forgiving of my problem area...my gut (Lol). I also adore the hi-lo hem of it. It makes me feel very sexy and feminine. You've seen these mint green jeggings before in a previous post HERE. I opted to wear sandals as I am so tired of the boots and heavy shoes I've worn all winter. I had to let my piggies breathe a little...
My brother was my photographer this day and he was making me laugh ever so hard.
Because I love this top so much, believe me you will see it again. This number will be in heavy rotation throughout the seasons. I have soooo many plans for her.

Black and White Stripes
Quick post today. I decided to wear this look to church a few weeks ago. So, I just had to share it on my blog. If you use Instagram, you can follow me there ms_kishina is my IG name. I post a lot of my looks there. Anywho, black and white is trending heavily for spring and I have found loads of inspiration via blogs that I follow.
I opted to keep my accessories simple, since the blazer is a statement by itself. A silver hoop, black clutch and peep toe patent pumps helped to pull my look together. Overall, I love how this look came together and I received many compliments on this ensemble.
Shop what I wore....
