On Sundays I Wear Skirts | Tangerine and Leopard

If you've followed my blog for a while now, you'll know that my favorite print is leopard.  It pairs well with practically EVERYTHING to me.  The perfect blend of all neutrals is aesthically pleasing to the eye and you can basically add a plethora of colors to make it work.  I particularly love pairing leopard prints with a bright bold color such as this tangerine pencil skirt I scored for the low at Gabe's.  Can you believe it was only five bucks?  *Gasp*... There was no way I was leaving it hanging all by its lonesome on the rack.  And it's one of my favorite labels to wear, Lane Bryant.  Now, this skirt retails at around 50-60 bucks, and you know the thrifty part of me will NOT pay retail for anything...lol.  This skirt is old and no longer available, at least I couldn't find it on the web site or in store.  Hence, the reason I will be shopping my closet more because there is no way this should still have tags on it...*insert blank stare*.  Anywho...

Pretty in Pink

Sooo, my love affair with pink continues...lol.  I can't help it, y'all.  I am a girly-girl to my core and I can think of no other color than pink to celebrate my love of being a woman.  I'm in such a happy place in my life right now and I am loving it! I enjoyed being in front of the camera in this outfit and I have to give my hubby kudos for shooting in such frigid temps this weekend.  It was FREEZING down south this weekend y'all, and this girl is not used to such disrespectful weather.  I shot these photos in record time and then ran inside for a hot cup of coffee and my favorite pajamas...lol.

Green Dots

"My eyes are green, 'cause I eat a lot of vegetables. It don't have nothing to do with your new friend..." ~ Erykah Badu

Hey y'all! Yes, I'm a southern girl..lol. Can't you tell? Anyways, I'm loving this green knit top I found at Cato's Fashion (on sale of course).  I'm trying to add color into my life...besides pink. It's my favorite.  I added some black denim jeans I scored at an Ashley Stewart store closing sale.  Decided to keep my accessories minimal with orange and gold bangles and a coral colored lipstick.  I'm always on the hunt for something different or a rare find.  I like how the sheer polka dots add interest and texture to the overall look.  However, I do think my outfit could have used a few more accessories since it is such a basic look.  I'll keep that in mind for the next time I style it.  Thanks, for stopping by and reading my blog posts.  Leave your comments below. I enjoy reading each and every one. I do encourage feedback.  Until next time....
Peace and Love,
Kishina

Houndstooth

Although leopard print is my all time favorite print, ever... I think my second favorite may be houndstooth.  This is such a classic look and it transcends several fashion eras.  Houndstooth checks originated in woven wool cloth in Scotland, but are now used in many other materials.  I decided to wear this dress to church a few Sundays ago and really loved the way it fit and flattered my curves, as well as the print.  I see many ways I can style this dress.  For instance, adding a brightly colored crop top to this can create a whole new look for me by giving the illusion of seperate pieces.  Thank you for checking out my blog!

My Love Affair With Black & White

Over the course of the past few weeks, I've developed a love for the colors black and white. Peplum blouses have also become a favorite of mine. When I saw this blouse I simply could not pass it by. It features a neckline made of black lace and a bodice of lightweight cotton fabric. I paired this with mint green jeggings and black ballet flats. Thank you for viewing my post!
