Knotted and Striped

Hey Kurvy Korner lovers!  

Hope your long weekend was full of laughs, hugs, and good food.  Mine sure was!  I begin this weekend after Thanksgiving with a renewed mind, body and spirit.  It was so great catching up with friends and family that I haven't seen in a while.  How was your holiday weekend?  

My laptop died, y'all!! This outfit post was supposed to be a part of the Thanksgiving Day Lookbook series.  Nevertheless, I'm here now and hope to get it fixed soon.  I'm lost without it....bummer! 

Today's look is a first for me.  And if I'm totally honest, bodycon type outits scare me a little...lol.  I usually gravitate to more relaxed, loose-fitting clothing, but I was drawn to this skirt because of the way it is made.  I found it for a steal online at Charlotte Russe.  While the one I'm wearing is no longer available, I linked a similar one from the website.  Aaaand, it's Cyber Monday, so go hurry to order yours now.  They are $5.99 *gasp*!

I love the cut and fit of this skirt.  It stretched easily over my hips and did not feel binding in any way.  Ruching on the side along with the loop and knot in the front just add so much character and swag to the outfit.  This asymmetrical hem overlaid atop a bodycon is what gave me the confidence to rock this piece without a worry in the world.

I have soooo many ways I want to wear this skirt, so expect to see it on the blog again...lol.  Because, ummm, ya know this blogger likes to wear her favorite things often.  For this style, I opted to pair it with a t-shirt dress *gasp*.  Yeeesss, this is actually a dress on top that I styled as my shirt.  The color is perf for the fall season and will forever be on trend for me every autumn, because I just love it and I look good in it...lol.

Pairing it with my new fringe choker was a no-brainer.  I found this at Citi Trends (similar) for $6.99.  It adds just a little more drama and edge. These half-tinted sunglasses are giving me all kinds of mysterious vibes...lol.
