Hey guys!
I hope you've had a refreshing and well rested weekend. It's a new week and I'm ready to embrace all it has to offer. Today's look is one I wore recently when the weather decided to cooperate and play nice. I mean it is still winter, right?! In the coming months, I plan to showcase how my personal style is beginning to evolve. This look is one of them.
The most recent items I've purchased include those that have the perfect amount of stretch, look great against my complexion, and make me feel like a beauty queen when I wear them...lol. As a blogger (speaking for myself, here), I felt like I began playing the comparison game and totally lost sight of who Kishina is. Now, I'm getting back to my happy place. I no longer wish to compare myself to others. I'm running my own race, staying in my lane and doing those things that allow me feel free to be everything I was created to be.
These photos, while not professionally taken, were snapped at my sister's place when I was visiting. The photo behind me is my brother who passed away in September 2014. I know he's watching over me and occasionally feel him in spirit when I'm down. I've mentioned before that I compared myself to other bloggers and not having professional photos on my blog was one thing I resented...bummer. However, I absolutely looooove fashion with all my heart, and until I can do better I will share what I can, using whatever equipment I have in hopes of still inspiring you fashionistas to wear what makes you feel awesome.
A HUGE thank you to those of you who rock with me and offer continued words of encouragement. You inspire me to remain humble and keep pushing. I have big dreams and hope to see some of them manifest this year 2017.

ReplyDeleteThank you so much for the compliment and encouragement😊
DeleteYou are not alone, so many of us are tied up into comparing our self to others and forget that I, ME and MY should always come first. Just do YOU and Enjoy your Life!!!!!
ReplyDeleteThank you Mz. Neti! I intend to start doing just that.
DeleteYou look fab in this imple look! I really love the sweater!

Kishina, you look amazing and you are certainly rocking your own style! I love the maroon leggings! And to hell with that comparison game! I'm so glad you stopped doing it. I'm still taking photos with my iPhone and a remote in selfie mode (so they are often blurry!) unless my friend or husband steps in to take the photos for me (on my iPhone)! I don't even have a real camera. I don't know if I would know how to even work a real camera! Ha! Keep doing what you are doing because you are fabulous! Thanks for linking up with me On the Edge!

Thank you, Shelbee! The comparison game can be daunting. I had to remind myself why I started blogging in the first place. And it feels so awesome to know I'm not the only one taking photos with my phone and don't even have a real camera yet...haha! Thank you for keeping it real with me :)
DeleteYou do you! I think with blogging it can be really tough when looking at other blogs and thinking about yourself. When it starts to get overwhelming I take a step back and remind myself why I started blogging in the first place. You look great and totally rock that outfit! Keep it up!

Thank you so much for the encouragement and kind compliments! I agree, I must remind myself why I started blogging in the first place and that my friend is the key. Thanks again!

Thank you, Irene :)
DeleteYou look amazing in this pretty sweater and jean combo! I like the addition of the moto jacket and boots for a bit of edge. Sometimes it is easy to get caught up with comparisons, which can be just ugghhh. When I find myself doing that I know I am taking away from putting positive energy back into myself, my blog, and focusing on the things I can control or change. I am glad you are back to your own happy and showing off your own personal style. :)
ReplyDeleteThank you, Jennie! I appreciate your kind words and encouragement. I enjoy linking with you. I'm also loving your personal style choices as well. Keep inspiring, you're doing an awesome job :)
